Face of a table

Face of a table

A carved side table from the Kavango region of Namibia in my library, which I’ve always sort of just taken for granted and never really looked at. Serves me right.

So the other night I was fooling around with the thrift-store A-1 and all of a sudden this face was leering at me in a new way. *click*

Ilford HP5+ 400 35mm in the Canon A-1. Can’t remember the exposure, but it was unmetered; I think maybe f/1.2 at 1/15. Developed in Ilfotec HC for 5:00 @ 22.5°. Stopped with a 1:4 spirit vinegar / water solution. Fixed in Ilford Rapid Fixer 1:9 for 10 minutes.
